How a booking is made
Sending a booking request or an enquiry through this website does not by itself create a booking. We reply to confirm availability, the itinerary and the price. Your booking exists only once we have confirmed it to you in writing, by email or WhatsApp. Until then nothing is reserved.
Please check that confirmation carefully. It states the date, the pick-up point and time, the number of travellers, what is included, and the total price. Tell us straight away if anything is wrong.
Prices and what they include
Prices are shown in euros (EUR). Unless the tour page says otherwise, day trip prices are per person. Longer private itineraries are usually priced per trip rather than per person, and we quote them once we know your dates and group size.
What is included and what is not included is listed on each individual tour page. Anything not listed as included is not included – typically personal expenses, tips, entrance fees where stated, and meals that are not named.
Payment
No payment is taken through this website. There is no card payment on this site, and we never ask for card details by email or WhatsApp.
- Day trips and excursions: nothing is paid in advance. You pay on the day of the tour.
- Multi-day tours: a deposit confirms the booking and covers costs we commit to on your behalf, such as accommodation and desert camps. We agree the deposit amount with you in writing before you pay anything. The balance is paid during the tour.
If you cancel or change your booking
Tell us as early as you can, by email or WhatsApp. The date and time we receive your message is what counts.
- Day trips and excursions: free cancellation up to 48 hours before the departure time. Since nothing is paid in advance, you owe nothing.
- Multi-day tours: free cancellation up to 15 days before departure, and any deposit already paid is returned in full. If you cancel later than 15 days before departure, the deposit is not refunded, because by that point we have already committed it to your accommodation and camps.
Changing dates. We will move your booking to another date whenever we can, at no charge. Ask us as early as possible – in high season the same vehicle, guide or camp may not be free.
If we change or cancel a tour
Occasionally we have to change a tour for reasons of safety or practicality: severe weather, flooding, snow on the mountain passes, road closures, or a vehicle problem. If that happens we will contact you and offer, at your choice:
- the same tour on another date;
- an alternative itinerary of a similar standard; or
- a full refund of anything you have paid us.
We are not able to reimburse costs you have arranged separately, such as flights, hotels or other bookings. This is one of the reasons we recommend travel insurance.
Your responsibilities
- Carry a valid passport or national ID card. Some routes pass through checkpoints where it will be asked for.
- Be at the pick-up point at the agreed time. Long routes have to keep to a schedule and we cannot always wait.
- Tell us before booking about medical conditions, reduced mobility, allergies or dietary needs, so we can say honestly whether a tour is suitable and adapt it where possible.
- Follow the safety instructions of your driver or guide, particularly around camels, quad bikes and hot air balloon flights.
- Travellers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Travel insurance
Travel insurance is not included in any of our prices and we strongly recommend that you arrange your own, covering medical treatment, repatriation, and cancellation or curtailment.
Our responsibility to you
We take reasonable care to run the tours we describe, with drivers and guides we work with regularly. We are not responsible for events outside our reasonable control, including weather, road and border conditions, strikes, and the acts of third parties such as hotels or airlines. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies.
If something goes wrong
Tell your driver or guide at the time. Most problems can be solved on the spot, and they can rarely be solved once you are home. If it is not resolved, email infos@moroccosaharaspirit.com and we will look into it.
Photographs and website content
The text and photographs on this website belong to Morocco Sahara Spirit or are used with permission, and may not be reproduced without our written consent. If we take photographs during a tour and would like to use them, we will ask you first.
Law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Moroccan law, and disputes fall to the competent courts of Marrakech.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your booking is the one published on the date we confirmed it. See also our Privacy Policy.
