Agafay Desert

Agafay is the closest desert to Marrakech, about half an hour from the city. It is stony and lunar rather than sandy, with the High Atlas rising behind it, which makes it the practical option if you do not have two or three days to reach the Sahara. Two things are worth doing here: a camel trek across the plains, and a quad ride between the dry riverbeds. They are booked separately below, and plenty of people do both in the same afternoon, finishing with the sunset.
