By fourteen days you have already covered the imperial cities, the Rif, the Sahara and the kasbah trail. The fifteenth day is a choice about what kind of trip you want, not a gap to be filled.<\/p>\n<h2>The short answer<\/h2>\n<p>Build the <a href='https:\/\/moroccosaharaspirit.com\/fr\/14-day-morocco-itinerary\/'>fourteen-day grand tour<\/a>, then use the extra days on <strong>one<\/strong> of three things:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Atlantic south<\/strong> &mdash; Taroudant, Agadir and the Taghazout coast, the part of Morocco most itineraries never reach.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The High Atlas properly<\/strong> &mdash; two or three nights at Imlil, with a real walking day or an attempt on Toubkal.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nothing at all<\/strong> &mdash; spread the extra day as slack and stop moving every morning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The third option is the one we recommend most often and the one travellers propose least.<\/p>\n<h2>Option 1: add the Atlantic south<\/h2>\n<p><em>Best for: travellers who have been to Morocco before, or who want a region without coaches.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>From Marrakech, head south-west rather than flying home:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Day 13 &mdash; Marrakech to Taroudant.<\/strong> Over the Tizi n&#8217;Test or round by Agadir. Taroudant is a walled market town sometimes called &ldquo;little Marrakech&rdquo; &mdash; complete ramparts, a working souk, and almost no tour groups.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Day 14 &mdash; Taghazout and the coast.<\/strong> North of Agadir, a strip of surf villages and long beaches. This is where Moroccans and long-stay surfers go, and the pace is entirely different from the interior.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Day 15 &mdash; Agadir and out.<\/strong> Agadir has its own international airport, which makes this a clean end to the trip rather than a drive back to Marrakech.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Honest note:<\/strong> Agadir itself was rebuilt after the 1960 earthquake and is a modern resort city, not a historic one. Go for the coast and Taroudant, not for Agadir&#8217;s old town, because there is not one.<\/p>\n<h2>Option 2: the High Atlas, properly<\/h2>\n<p><em>Best for: walkers, and anyone who finds two weeks of cities and driving tiring.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Instead of two final days in Marrakech, spend three nights at <strong>Imlil<\/strong> &mdash; about 103&nbsp;km and under two hours from the city, at the foot of Jebel Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>With one full day:<\/strong> a valley walk between Berber villages, lunch above the river, and an afternoon doing nothing.<\/li>\n<li><strong>With two full days:<\/strong> a serious day hike to a high col, or the first stage of the Toubkal route to the refuge and back.<\/li>\n<li><strong>A Toubkal summit<\/strong> realistically needs two to three days with a night at the mountain hut, plus acclimatisation, and in winter it is a mountaineering objective requiring crampons and an axe &mdash; not a walk.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our <a href='https:\/\/moroccosaharaspirit.com\/fr\/trip\/full-day-trip-to-imlil\/'>Imlil day trip<\/a> is the compressed version; three nights is a different experience, and the quietest part of any Morocco itinerary. The <a href='https:\/\/moroccosaharaspirit.com\/fr\/trip\/3-valleys-one-soul-exploring-moroccos-atlas-majesty\/'>Atlas 3 Valleys route<\/a> is the broader alternative if you would rather see more valleys than walk in one.<\/p>\n<h2>Option 3: use the time as slack<\/h2>\n<p><em>Best for: almost everyone, and particularly families and travellers over 60.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This is not a cop-out. It is geographically possible and it is a poor holiday: you change accommodation thirteen times and spend most mornings packing.<\/p>\n<p>The country is bigger than it looks. Marrakech to Merzouga alone is roughly 530&ndash;560&nbsp;km and about nine and a half hours of driving. A good fifteen-day route has <strong>fewer stops than a bad ten-day one<\/strong>, with longer at each.<\/p>\n<h2>What even fifteen days will not do<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Both major ergs and the complete north and the Atlantic south.<\/strong> Something has to go.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Western Sahara and the far south<\/strong> &mdash; Tan-Tan, Dakhla and the long Atlantic road are a separate trip measured in weeks.<\/li>\n<li><strong>A winter Toubkal ascent<\/strong> alongside the full circuit. That is a mountaineering trip with its own kit and timing.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ramadan without adjustment.<\/strong> Travel during Ramadan is entirely possible and often rewarding, but opening hours and the rhythm of the day change. Ask us how it affects the dates you are considering.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Practical notes<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Two weeks of clothes is unnecessary.<\/strong> Pack for six or seven days and plan one laundry stop around a multi-night stay.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Best months:<\/strong> March to May and September to November. Fifteen days of constant movement is too long; fifteen days with four two-night stays is excellent.<\/p>\n<h3>What can you add to a 14-day Morocco trip?<\/h3>\n<p>Realistically one of: the Atlantic south around Taroudant and Taghazout, two or three nights in the High Atlas, or extra nights at places you would otherwise rush.<\/p>\n<h3>Can you climb Toubkal as part of a 15-day Morocco tour?<\/h3>\n<p>An attempt is possible in summer if you dedicate three days and accept you may not summit. In winter it needs mountaineering equipment and experience.<\/p>\n<h3>Is it better to see more places or stay longer in fewer?<\/h3>\n<p>Fewer, longer &mdash; almost always.
